'Audition Dos & Don'ts' Workshop

What is an audition?
What should I wear to an audition?
What happens during an audition?
When I'm passed a script, do i have to memorize it?
Can I hold the script and read instead?
Am I supposed to look into the camera?
When to look into the camera?
When not to?
Is there any difference in auditioning for a role in a TV drama series and a musical production?
How about for an emcee role?
Who is a casting director and what does he/she do?
Who decides whether I'll get the role or not?
What happens after an audition?
What is a callback?
Will I still have a chance to land the lead role if I don't have any prior experience?
How many auditions do I have to go to before I get my first job?

If you find yourself having any of the above questions when it comes to auditioning for a role in any production, this is one workshop we strongly recommend you to attend.

Conducted by UAN Artiste Manager, Ms Janet Chin, you can look forward to answers to the above questions and more. Auditions can be stressful but they need not be a traumatic experience for you. When equipped with proper basic knowledge of what an audition is like and what to expect at one, you will be able to correct any wrong perceptions you may have of auditions and gain insights into what auditions are really all about.
