The
Singapore Red Cross is part of a world-wide, non-political,
non-religious movement which based its work
on the fundamental principles of humanity,
impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and
universality. An independent humanitarian organisation, it raises its
own funds in serving humanity and furthering
the work of the Red Cross locally and internationally.
As part of our 5th anniversary this year,
Our Charity Drive is the
4th Artiste Challenge among a total of five challenges taken up by UAN
and its artistes this year. In true spirit of F.A.B.A, we'll be working
with Shop@RedCross
to collect both new and 2nd hand goods from all UAN Artistes (public
members are welcome to contribute too!) to be donated to Shop@RedCross
All Proceeds from sale of items at Shop@RedCross
will go to Singapore Red Cross local humananitarian work.
Shop@RedCross
will accept a wide range of donated items from UAN World Pte Ltd
to be sold in their charity shop.
Any good quality unwanted items which you have sitting at home can make
a huge difference if donated to Shop@RedCross!
Clothes
Shop@RedCross
sell a wide range of secondhand clothing for all ages, shapes and sizes!
So if you have clothes you no longer wear do bring them down to UAN Office!
Accessories
Donate your old pearls, purses and
pumps. They could be just what people are looking for to brighten up their
current wardrobes!
Videos, CDs
and DVDs
Shop@RedCross
sell secondhand films, music and games too, so why not donate your old
CDs, DVDs, vinyl and videos?
Books
If you have old books you haven’t read for a while, don't let them
gather dust on your bookshelf but donate them to charity! Shop@RedCross
sell a wide range of recycled books e.g. bestsellers, children’s
books, age old classics, cook books and travel books.
Toys and Games
If you have toys that your children
have stopped playing with or board games you no longer use, pass them
on for other people to use and enjoy!
